Why I Picked This Topic?
I picked this topic because I felt like I could create some creative images within it. I feel like this topic will be a great way to finish my GCSE course because I can show not only people as crowds but also animals which I think will make this project stand out from everyone else's. Also I feel like this will show off my photography skills and what I can do at home and not just in school.

Analysing her Work
I like this image because I feel it shows a crowded scene with not only people but also pigeons. This image shows a sense of attack as the pigeons are attacking the woman in the picture. The image uses a medium depth of field so that it can get the full scene in view to show the birds crowded by her face. The image uses a stop shutter speed so that the image isn't blurred but you can see the pigeons are moving about which gives the image a chaotic feeling. The exposure is 0 which makes the image stand out more to its audience. I feel the colours a natural which makes them stand out in the blue sky background.
I like this image because I feel it is more spaced out so you can see the different crowds and the different sizes of the crowds. Also I like how she has used a medium depth of field because it helps to get all the different crowds in the image. In addition I like how the exposure of the image is 0 as it makes it clear to see what all the people are doing. In addition I like this image because I feel it shows the movement of people using a medium shutter speed as I think it is a different way of producing an image of crowds.

Analyzing His Work
I like this image because I feel like it shows a more brutal image of a crowd. Also I think this image gives a revolution theme which can show the different emotions. In addition, I like how he has used a small depth of field so that you can really see the image and it shows the tension of the scene. Also I like how they are all dressed in dark clothes because I feel it adds to the rage of the situation. Also it means the exposure doesn't have to be above or below 0. The clarity of the image shows clearly the meaning behind it but I think if it used a small shutter speed then it would give the image more tension.
I have picked this image to analyse because it shows a different type of crowd. This is because it shows a crowd of houses. Also I feel this looks a little surreal because all the houses mirror each other. In addition, this image use a birds eye view which makes it effective because you can see a variety of house which shows the theme of crowds really well. Also, the image uses an exposure of 0 as it doesn't need a specific mood to the image. The depth of field is small so that you can see all of the different houses.

Analysing His Work
I have picked this image because it really stands out to me as it doesn't just include people it also includes animals. I feel like the chimps in the image give it more of a lively feeling. Also, I like how the focus of the image is on the people holding the chimps because it makes the image less serious. The image being in black and white is good because it makes the crowd stand out more. This image uses a medium depth of field so it can get its main focus in as well as an extra crowd within the background.
I like this image because it shows how when an accident happens humans surround the accident and look on at the person they are looking at. Also, I like the use of a small depth of field as you can see the people and a crowd of traffic behind them makes the image more effective as it also shows another type of crowd. In addition, the image being in black and white is effective because it adds to the drama of the scene. as it shows the mood as depressing and serious.
Shoot 1
Plan
For this shoot I am planning to take pictures of different sections of my granddad's wedding. First I am going to focus on taking pictures at the back of the church outside the church to show the guests because you aren't allowed to take pictures in the chapel. This will use a small depth of field so that I can get all of the people in the image. Next I am planning on taking images of the bride before she walks down the aisle which will use a medium depth of field because I will want to focus on a smaller amount of people to show the different crowds. Then I will take pictures of everyone out of the church to show different angles of crowds and the different spaces.
As we move through the day to the meal I am going to take pictures of the way the tables are laid out and the people on them which I will use a small depth of field for. Moving towards the first dance I am going to take pictures of the happy couple doing the first dance and how many people surround them and join in which I think will be a very effective image to have.

Worst Image
This is my worst image because the light from the disco is shinning over where I was taking the image. Also this image is out of focus which makes it look really low quality compared to the others. However, I do like how the fun of the dancing is shown which shows a really happy feeling. In addition I feel the image would be better if a used a bigger depth of field to get more people into the image.

Best Image
I feel this is my best image because I think the crowd looks better than on any of the other images because it is a very focused image. Also, this image uses an exposure of 0 which makes the shoot stand out more because it helps to see all the different colours that people are wearing. I feel this sets the mood as a happy moodd as a wedding should be. This is because the brightness of the colours
Shoot 2
Plan
For this shoot I am going to take pictures in Chester because it is a busy place and there is a lot of different places. I am going to consider the different things that can be classed as crowds. I am going to take pictures in different shops, outside and other places where I get an opportunity to take while I am there. I am going to visit places like the Castle and River Dee to show different things and people that interest people. For these I will use different depth of fields to see which images look better for this project and I will also change the exposure to see what looks best.

Shoot 3
Plan
After looking at my shoot 2 I have decided to take a type of crowd I managed to capture and use it for shoot 3. I decided I would use the cars and traffic images as my inspiration for shoot 3. This is because I feel it is easy to get a wide range of colours and different types of cars. In addition, I feel it is effective because it has a different effect than people does.
I am going to experiment with the depth of fields I will use. For example, I will use a small depth of field and a large depth of field to show the difference between close up images and how this impacts on how thw crowd looks. I will also, try and use different exposures to see which match best. I will use a range of exposures from -1 to 1 to show the different impacts the exposure can give to the image.

Shoot 4
Plan
For this shoot I am going to take pictures of animals rather than humans because I feel like it would look better than humans because it shows a different type of crowd. I am either going to go to a farm or zoo and take pictures of animals in the cages. I feel this would be a great shoot to change my project a bit. I am going to use a birds eye view because I think it would look better than a worm's eye view but I am going to try different views to see what fits best. I am also going to use different depth of fields to show close ups of some of the images to see the different amounts of animals that can make a crowd.
